I make these by hand from full grain veg-tanned leather and solid brass hardware. These knife/blade strops can be clipped to belt loops, a pack or backpack, or hung from a screw in your workshop.
These strops come raw and aren't loaded with any compound. I prefer Flitz All Metal Polish, but any of your favorite stropping compounds will work.
Leather strops are used to hone and polish blade edges. You can strop anything from chef knives to fish hooks, basically anything that once had/has a sharp edge.
From top of clip to bottom of the leather measures approximately 6.75 inches. Total stropping area is approx. 4.25 × 1 inch and they weigh approximately 33 grams.
Since these are handcrafted using real leather some minor imperfections may occur. and weigh approximately 33 grams.
*Strops aren’t sharpeners. They fold back sharp edges and polish them to a finer point.
The clasps are made in China :(( The hardware is made in the USA, and the leather is USA and globally sourced.
