I make these by hand from full grain veg-tanned leather and solid brass hardware. These ultralight knife/blade strops have a grommet to use whatever cordage you choose to attach to belt loops, a pack or backpack, or hung from a screw or nail in your workshop.
These strops come raw and aren't loaded with any compound. I prefer Flitz All Metal Polish, but any of your favorite stropping compounds will work.
Leather strops are used to hone and polish blade edges. You can strop anything from chef knives to fish hooks, basically anything that once had/has a sharp edge.
The leather of these measure approximately 5 inches in length with a total stropping area of approx. 4.25 × 1 inch and they weigh approximately 4.5 grams.
Since these are handcrafted using real leather some minor imperfections may occur.
The leather is globally sourced, and the hardware is made in USA.
*Strops aren’t sharpeners. They fold back sharp edges and polish them to a finer point.
